Never let anyone else define you. Don't be a jerk just to be a jerk, but if you are expressing your true inner feelings and beliefs, or at least trying to express that inner child, and everyone gets pissed off about it, never NEVER apologize for it. Let them think what they want, let them define you in their narrow little minds while they suppress every last piece of them just to keep a friend that never liked them for themselves in the first place.

Sentry was weaker in those days. Even still, Genis has no way of actually killing a solidified thought construct. Bob controls what can actually affect the Sentry. He's a thought come to life as Bob imagines it. He, or it to be more correct can't ever die, and neither can Bob.
Genis is immortal too. That's why Zemo scattered him in pockets in the dark dimension.

He's still alive, just in pieces in different dimensions.
If someone tried the same thing on Bob with a powerful enough artifact, who knows if even he could reform from it?
