as a kid, the count was one of my fave characters--one of the characters who actually cemented my love of comics. i recall being so disappointed by the cover of that book though where thor's hammer is bouncing off him. when thor appeared at the end of the issue though, it was the greatest cliffhanger ending i'd read to that point! lol soooo good. "you have dared much, villain..."
That's the thing, I don't think he'd beat "regular" Morg either. Morg is/was much more bloodthirsty than the heroes Nefaria fought and Morg is a legit high herald.
Morg, no WoL, wins the majority after a good fight.

Yeah I’m not sure he’s a high herald. He’s def below ss but above terrax though terrax has put up a pretty good fight against him at times. I think he’s a high end mid herald and cn is closer to Thor. Without the water it would be a great fight but I’d take cn.
I think you are selling PC Morg short Leo. Morg' beaten Terrax every time they fought (like you already mentioned). Speaking of Terrax, look how Ganymede manhandled him but PC Morg treated her like an insect (even when she had help). He took out Air-Walker AND Firelord simultaneously. He's beaten Silver Surfer. He's done better vs Thanos than Surfer ever has.
In his second fight with Surfer, the one Morg lost, you have to remember he just got through fighting Firelord AND Air-Walker. So the fact that he went through those two, then immediately fought Surfer and lost after a good fight is a damn good showing for PC Morg.

Tbf Morg only did better against because Thanos underestimated him. Once he took it serious he one shotted him. Thanos has never one shotted surfer like that.
Now, I don't know how you see Terrax compared to Thor [lol], but Count Nefaria was repeatedly hammered and shown as somebody considerably physically superior to him [even statements that he is above Hulk and comparable to the Destroyer]. I wouldn't be surprised to see Count Nefaria fold him like paper.

You think he was considerably above Thor? Not sure their brief battle showed that. Thor was the only being he was afraid of though he got over his fear. Not sure how that battle would have ended had Thor not tried the Bfr. He was stronger than Thor I agree but not sure by how much. Palming the hammer was fukcin awesome though..... so maybe you’re right.
