Namor was the guy who casually palmed an enraged Thor plus a Celestial amped She Hulk plus Captain Marvel with the full force of Feminism ,plus Tony (iirc)... Apollo never struck me as that hardcore, plus o remember him (back in the day) as having crap energy reserves.

Right, but is the end result actually in doubt? It's not always a shutout, but the winner was pre-determined all the same.

It's not really made in good faith or out of genuine curiosity.

That's part of his artistry. Prep is a brilliant athlete, and became skilled at hiding his set ups. Landslide victories are too telegraphed and can be read by opponents, BUT if you throw feints--ensuring one side lags behind just enough while appearing similarly tiered on paper--you can get the KO off the counter when they bite on your feints.

That's part of what makes him the GOAT: his fight IQ. It's beautiful to watch.

And then struggled with Captain America and Black Panther in the next issue and then several issues after that stated he didn’t have the power to take on the avengers so he tried to get the Phoenix Force and failed at that.
