Team cloud would waste them. lets examine this: a team of badasses vs. a team of goofy cartoon characters. ok, goofy might be an exageration but they are definitely nowhere near as badass as the other guys.

yeah, but cloud and Strider would take out Link and Marth then Snake would probably beat Samus. then Knuckles would fair pretty well against captain falcon and even if he lost, he would still get owned by the rest of the remaining team.
Why is "HYPER KNUCKLES/SONIC/SHADOW!!!!!!!!111" immediately an argument? It's really not a standard thing at all, so why try to make it one?
If you use the real versions of the characters in team one I can see some victory happening...
Falcon and Knuckles are both the power types. However, seeing as Captain Falcon sucks pretty hard in SSBM, I'll give it to Knuckles.
Samus blows Snake the fudge up. She's as much overkill as Master Chief will ever be.
Nayru's Love is a standard Link ability. He's freaking invincible, people. A light arrow or five kill Cloud.
Are you talking Strider as in Aragorn? If so, Marth can give him a good fight. Possibly a win. Not a big buff on Fire Emblem outside of Sword of Seals and the US one. (they have a bunch of the same characters; for the rest, I don't speak Japanese) Marth's a top class swordsman though... He can at least hold out long enough for Samus to adjust her aim and blast Knuckles into oblivion, creating a nice 2v1 scenario. And one of the two has a futuristic combat suit and an arm plasma cannon...
What I'm really trying to say here is Link has a good fight with Cloud, Samus has a short fight with Snake, followed immediately by two blasts that melt Strider and Knuckles. Go team 1.

but marth can reverse his atacks if he use his special move, link can turn into a wolf, control time, has a great magic arsenal, can use a sword pretty good, and has magic items that make him stronger.Samus is way more powerfull than snake, snake would have to spent all of his stinger and nikitas bullets to do some danage to samus, since samus armor if it is maxed can take more than 200 laser beams , but one shot from samus and snake is dead.If you are talking about c.falcon games and anime i would say c.falcon would probaly fight against snake because of his personality, and samus could take knuckles that way .
I don't think Link will touch Sonic. He moves Faster and surely he can't hit the Flash. Knuckles can punch through just about anything. He is a Martial Artist.
Or even get a shield up. Running into a wall stops Sonic plenty good, and from there it's easy slashing/arrowing/squishing time. Sonic takes a bit to charge up.
Even at his fastest, Sonic is literally thousands of times slower than Flash. Don't even compare em. Flash also has reflexes in proportion to his speed. Sonic does not. Making stopping him with a shield or a spin attack pretty easy. Knuckles doesn't even have the luxury of speed... An arrow or 2 tot he head kills him, easy as freking pie.
Samus could still take all 4 without much trouble...
