UNSC (halo) vs. the GF (Metroid)
Setup:
The battle field is a grasy plain with a 200ft. drop to the ocean on one end and on the ther end is a forest leading to tall, snowy mountins.
The have acsess to all of there vehicals. The UNSC has the 5 remaining spartens and the GF has accses to all of there bounty hunters.
I would put my money on the GF. They have energy weapons, mechs(MP:3) and strong dropships(MP:2). Also althou never showen they have a huge fleet. And dont forget about Samus!

Though outdone in close combat, the UNSC battleships (Which I don't think are included in this battle) do have MAC cannons on them, which are quite capable of going through shields.
Though in this setup its hard to tell as there is no numbers on how big each army is. Though as seen from Halo UNSC troops are just cannon fodder.
