Yuri Volt Hyuga
The main charecter of the Shadow Hearts series, Yuri is a harmonixer who possesses the abilty to perform a monster fusion with several creatures instead of just one. In the original Shadow Hearts story Yuri follows the directions of a "voice" that guides him into protecting people and defeating monsters that roam the planet. The Shadow Hearts story begins when the "voice" guides Yuri to a train to protect a young girl, Alice from being kidnapped from Albert Simon.
Yuri's fights with his hands, utilizing various gauntlets made from a variety of metals. He has martial arts training probably taught to him by his father Ben Hyuga. In the beggining of the story Yuri follows the "voice" hoping to learn what happened to his father. Yuri's mother was killed when he was eight years old , during a monster attack on his house. It is believed it was due to his fathers work in Japan at the time. Yuri was saved by his own harmonixer powers awakening.
Upon meeting Alice, Yuri's ability to fusion with other creature besides his own elemental alignment is awakened. It is believed that Alice's spiritual powers unlocked new pathways for his powers to develop along. In the original Shadow Hearts Yuri wears a long brown trenchcoat with a red shirt and brown leather pants. He wears a waist satchel tied around his waist with a series of intricately tied buckles. In the sequel titled Shadow Hearts: Covenant, he wears brown boots, black leather pants and jacket with a white cross stitched down the back, which is split down the middle.
