This is a gauntlet of armies of foes (which I belive in the rules is known as the "army" rule allowing for groups to fight as armies) who will be fought by 4 characters from gaming, the aim of the gauntlet is who of the 4 characters will defeat their gauntlet the fastest if they defeat it at all, the fastest character is the winner of the gauntlet. Each character faces the same gauntlet list but not together as a team, each character faces the armies alone, its simply a test of who can overcome the armies the fastest if at all, all the characters start fighting the armies at the same time.
The Character linup:
Dante: From DMC, Dante is allowed access to all his weapons and powers from all the games.
Kain: From LOK, Kain has access to all his reaver powers, is given the portion of his soul given him Raziels powers and his sons but he has no access to the full purifcation so he is not a full balance Guardian yet, he has all his spells and abilties from all the games.
Kratos: Ghost of Sparta from GOW series, Kratos has all his powers and abilities form the games and all the weapons inlcuding the Blade of Olympus (he cannot use the Zeus power zeus uses since he doesnt in the game) and he has all his God power however he may not ascend to god size, he is human size like in the games.
hm I thought this would be a unique and interesting Gauntlet to debate, makes a change from the constant A vs B but perhaps thats what those who are left in this forum like.
Maybe. but the way Ive balanced it is that I have a couple of fast characters and a couple of high AOE damage and survivability characters, for example Nariko and Dante are both fairly quick, Dante has his devil speed and flexability while Nariko is extremely agile and her combos and moves spill out of her quickly and in Goddess mode I think she has the power over Dante while ofcourse both Kain and Kratos have large AOE attacks that take out enemies and specials.
I picked Nariko because ime not sure of Dantes firepower, being the fastest Dante he is, but I dont think his speed will keep up with his damage input.
Nariko is the weakest link here. The other three are pretty close, especially at full power. Dante's got most of the speed feats (not even counting Quicksilver), Kain has some of the most versatile abilities, and Kratos at his peak has a good number of, as BT said, AOE-esque abilites (i.e. Poseidon's Rage), aside from the power the God of War possessed.
Do the characters that have time-based abilities have them in this thread (i.e. Quicksilver, Time travel/fate manipulation)?
I don't think Kain would have the Stamina to make a gauntlet of this calibur.

Ime not sure about that, Nariko is in her Goddess form, for those who dont know who she is in this form [SPOILER - highlight to read]: she defeated the entirty of Bohans army which was in the thousands and the Raven King with fair ease and without loss of stamina, normal soldiers like most of those in the Gauntlet simply died instantly in large groups just because she walked into them and her long range attacks when she swings her blades of chaos esque heavenly sword in a chain like fashion seem like large AOE beyond most of the powerful attacks Kratos or Dante has for sure
They do but if you look at the rules they can only be used for a limited amount of time before their natural energy refills, for example Dante can only qucksivler and Kain can only time slow for 5 mins before they need to regenerate
I belive this is one of your usual baitings but ill answe it anyway, simpy put, Kain doesnt have a stamina limit since he can mist thus recreating his form, is undead so his form doesnt need breath or stamina anyway and in reality he has hundreds of blood bag enemies around him so he could fully restore himself with ease.
Not really, infact I would say Dante through his variety of attacks alone is not enough, since hes fast sure but hes got no real powerful AOE that he can constantly keep up unlike most of the other characters and he probably only defeats Kratos in endurance since Nariko would be nigh invulerable to the non boss enemies in the gauntlet, Kain is obvious.
