alone, i doubt they cud win against cloud and sephirth. but then again, they have taken down many a planet buster.

There is none. Margulis never fought anyone except the party who are certainly not planet busters when they battle him.
Jin fought some strong characters but only in gameplay. You could perfectly switch Jin out for say....

the final gnosis at the end of xenosga 1 wasnt a planet buster?????? lol, even kosmos and telos's phase transfer cannons {not TWS} can easily destroy a star.
