Has it ever been stated that Old Ragna was actually a match or even remotely close 2 the BB's power? I assumed it was more like just holding it off. Like what Charlie did 2 Shin Bison?

Well, it was confirmed in Phase 0, the Blazblue light novel that may not be named Phase 0 because I cannot remember, that it was in fact Ragna whom was the original Bloodedge, flung from the future to the past, and without the Blazblue. He held off the Black Beast for a full year in combat.
