Obi-Wan is more talented than Qui-GOn IMO, I think he takes this.

Yeah, like I've always argued, Obi-Wan at his most powerful (ROTS) is equal to Windu.
If only Obi-Wans studied Vaapad

Yeah, I believe Obi-Wan is on par with Mace by ROTS.

Since oBi Wan is the classic ideal Jedi, however, it's only fitting he learns Form III, which is defensive. And theoretically, he would be unbeatable if he had mastered it.

Nice to see you finally got a pic, Jedi Master...

I blame security. Security! Escort Mister Stain back to his holding cell.

Meanwhile, Qui Gon, while being quite the man, was not the resourceful Jedi Obi Wan was, sorry.

Nor as powerful, I mean Qui-Gonn could never take down Grievous and Dark Anakin in a one or two day period. Qui-Gonn was much wiser, but Obi-Wan was a super ninja of a Jedi.

Qui-gon would win because he has a major advantage in terms of experience because by AOTC Obi-won had been a Jedi Knight for about ten years while Qui-gon had been a Jedi Knight for at least 20 in TPM.

Obi wan used to be Qui-Gon's Padawan. Qui-Gon would know Obi-Wan's weaknesses, styles, and thoughts.

True, he would know of Obi-Wan's faults and how to exploit them, but you can never stop Obi-Wan's "luck"

Although Grevious was a Jedi killer that dosen't mean he could kill Qui-gon. Theoretically he might have killed the five weakest Jedi. Qui-gon was considered to be very good with a lightsaber (probably because he was Dooku's apprentice). I still think Qui-gon is better.

Alright DJ, let's try not to start another row, mmkay?

I think Obi-Wan wins it. Yes Obi-Wan beat Maul in TPM because Maul was overconfident, but we're talking about AOTC Obi-Wan, not TPM Obi-Wan. Obi improves so much in the ten years between the films that he'd defeat his old Master easily. He (Obi) becomes much more powerful as a Knight than he was as a Padawan and I thought that even while he was a Knight that he was stronger than/as strong as Qui-Gon.

Okay, Obi-Wan has a draw with Jango and gets his ass kicked badly by Dooku and Dooku's not even trying very hard. I mean, okay, Obi was really worn out, but still, even if he had been at full strength I bet Dooku could have taken out Obi just as quickly if he tried as hard as he could. it might take a little longer, but not much.

The TPM novel says Qui-Gon's skills rival Mace Windu's. of course, this is TPM Mace, but still, Qui-Gon put up a fair fight against Darth Maul, dominated all the battle droids he fought, and when he fought Maul he was already a but tired from fighting droids.

Qui-Gon clearly is superior. He is much stronger in the Force and has better saber skills too. He does tell Obi-Wan that he (obi) will become stronger than him (Jinn) one day, but that day's not until close to ROTS.
