Jango Fett versus Darth Maul
I don't start threads in this section very often, yet I am curious as to who you guys think would win. I realize most of you will just say Maul immediately, but consider the following: Jango has been in many ground battles (during wars), he has fought and killed multiple Jedi, and in this fight he will have a working Jetpack (unlike when he fought Mace).
the environment is: rooftops of Coruscant
Anyway, go ahead and post, I await your opinions...

Anyways Maul would win, the hardest time he would have is reaching Jango, but there is no way Jango could kill him and eventually Jango would make a mistake and die

I'm not sure who would win, because Obi knid of beats Maul in TPM and when he fights against Jango in AOTC it is almost an equal fight. But if Maul would have a fully functional double lightsaber, I would say he would win.

Obi wants to capture Jango in AOTC, he has no intention of killing him. Maul would use all he had against his enemy and not worry about killing him.

Right. Obi Wan versus Jango was not a clear indicator of Obi's superiority, since he wasn't out to murder the guy.

haha, maul would lick jango's @ss.
i love jango, he might be my fav non jedi character, but maul in all honesty is superior to most normal jedi knights by far. jango would die....

Jango might win if he used rockets or some weapon that explodes and isn't blocked by lightsabers. If he uses his blasters Maul wins easily because of his double bladed lightsaber, block more blaster bolts.

oh but if you read Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter, Maul dodges rockets with ease. he also uses force choke, which Jango can't block, so even if Maul couldn't touch him, he could just choke him

I think it would be difficult to hold out a hand and force choke someone while doging rockets and blocking blasterbolts.

I think most of you are underestimating Jango. He has had plenty of experience against Force-users, and is not cocky. I am not saying he would win for sure or anything, but just do not underestimate what he could do in this kinda fight.

Maul deflected every blaster bolt from a strong bounty hunter with two guns at basically point blank range. He deflects blaster bolts perfectly into people's thoraxes so his aim would be pretty good. And yes he easily dodged a rocket by ploughing through some walls but he wouldn't have to. Can you say force push?
Don't get me wrong, I like Jango nearly as much as I like Maul and I know he is very strong but we are talking about a Sith Lord that has been training since birth by Darth Sidious.

Maul and by the way ...Force Jump??? he could reach Jango yes he could use force choke in the middle of rocket fire and he could...lol...push the missiles back in his heavily armored face!!

Jango would win, not easily but he would. Realise that Jango survived the Jedi raid on Galidran when all his fellow Mandalorians didn't and he also survived against Dooku.
This is even more impressive than Maul defeating the Black Sun, who were not force users.
Apart from that Jango killed a few Jedi at Geonosis and killed Dooku's old padawan and managed to hold out against Obi-Wan (who was by the time of AotC far more powerful than Maul).
