They still make it. Or, rather, they still have a great chance of doing so. Palpatine, by now, is definitely more powerful than Yoda or Windu, but -- save for two brief duels -- he would not have been seen wielding a lightsaber in canon for roughly thirty seven years. His skills have likely atrophied. And Skywalker, however potent in a lightsaber duel, simply doesn't possess the Force mastery to contend with either Windu or Yoda. But if Palpatine plays it clever and uses his superior command of the Force, he might pull off a win. Anakin'd likely die, though.
he wont need his lightsaber. he could just use his superior force powers to keep either one of them at bay(at the very least). he could disarm Yoda of his lightsaber even more easily than he did in ROTS.. or he could Force Windus lightsaber into his own face like he almost was able to do in ROTS.
So Mr. "I crush the room with a mere scream" doesnt have the Force Mastery to contend with Windu?? maybe not mastery, but he certainly has the Raw Force Power, as long as hes able to keep focus and not worry about Padme dying.
and lets not forget Skywalker defeated Dooku whose Force Mastery is better than Windus. Thereby proving Windus supposedly superior force mastery will not stop Skywalker contending with him.
It's possible, but I doubt he's just going to rip through someone of Yoda's caliber without effort. And Yoda is the greater swordsman by a notable degree compared to the Emperor at this point.
That's correct. Skywalker is capable of great feats of the Force -- under stress or extreme anger. But his mastery compared to Windu or Yoda? Nonexistent.
Don't be an idiot. Skywalker became an engine of destruction that overpowered Dooku in a lightsaber contest; the Count would still have manhandled Skywalker with the Force.
my point is he might not need to enagage him in a sword fight, considering how he shot Yodas lightsaber out of his hand seemingly quite effortlessly in ROTS, and by ROTJ his Force Powers are even greater than they were.
Im not talking about Yoda here.. just Windu. If Skywalker goes up against Yoda hes gna lose plain and simple.
Neway he may not need the Mastery with the kind of Raw Power he has in the Force by Windus own admission I believe in Shatterpoint.
Hes used the Force quite effectively in intense fights like when he defeated Durge and also Ventress without using his lightsaber in the end. So theres every chance he might be able to replicate that kind of Raw Power in the Force if he went head to head with Mace, although im pretty sure itd be decided by the saber fight.
Jeez you do have a short temper dnt u? just throwing round the word idiot with sum1 whose just trying to debate nicely.
I never even said Anakin would beat Dooku in a Force Fight. We saw quite clearly in the animated movie that Dooku wins the Force fight against Anakin very comftorbly, and almost won the all out fight because of that.
I was responding to your comment about Anakin not having the Force Mastery to compete with Mace, and pointing out that it doesnt matter, because he defeated Dooku who has Greater force mastery than Mace, so it wont necessarily even be a factor.
He didn't shoot Yoda's saber out of his hand. Yoda dropped it to catch the force lightning. Regardless, Sidious didn't seem to have a huge advantage when it was hand-to-hand lightning handling between Yoda and himself. So all Yoda does is hold off the lightning, or cause another explosion, where they both fly apart (nothing to fall off of i assume) and then Yoda picks up his saber again, and then what? Anakin's dead by this time, and Palpatine's screwed.
Who cares about the force mastery of these two. Mace isn't going to be doing anything except charging Anakin with a saber. Either way, Anakin dies to mace. (and quickly) Meanwhile Yoda and Sids have stalemated again
(THAT'S the improvement i'll give sidious, that he isn't dead. Remember, he's not going to have the advantage of terrain in this fight that he did in their previous meeting)
then windu helps Yoda kill sidious.
**** Dark Empire, **** Revenge of the Sith (except the novel). The other renderings of the character make him awesome, those ones make me want to murder things.

Why? Because everything he says you can actually predict before it comes out of his mouth? Who didn't see the whole, "Strike Vader down and take your place at my side" speech? Jesus. This guy is a walking 1-dimensional archetype for a completely repulsive evil villian. He drips stereotype from his dying and decaying body.
Because the "actor" channeled original badass Ian McDiarmid, back when the Emperor was cool. Then DE, the PT, a shitload of fanboys with influence on canon, and everything else beat him into the ground.
And jeez, hate more? You're like Lightsnake to Bane.
Well, not quite, but you're close. This forum is so polarized...
McDiarmid's finest moment was the opera scene in RotS, and his scenes were the best part of RotJ. I was embarrassed, though, with his facial expressions and frog impersonations during the scene where he fights Mace and knights Skywalker.

You're serious? 22 years apart? That's...wow. I didn't know that. But yes, I liked the Emperor - a lot. Until the second half of ROTS, and DE, and the numerous books coming out afterwards ruined him. Too much exposure, or something...maybe.
