Hmm - good question. ROTJ Luke was a quasi-Jedi and Obi & Anakin were both Padawans at the time. Luke would lose due to his lack of experience, but Obi-Wan and Anakin would gang up on Dooku and win.

Actually Makashi isn't as effectice against multiple opponents. ( Strange considering that he's taken on teams before ) Dooku's overall experience and duelling prowess are the key factor though.

So logically then Dooku's prowess defied the "weakness" of Makashi?? That's actually plausible judging by the movies.
