Palpatine discovers a backwater planet (Earth) and orders Vader and the Endor Stormtroopers to take the system, but have vague intelligence on Earth's troops training (especially Task Force 141 and 75th Rangers). Stormtroopers are equipped with standard weapons and AT-STs (no air support or bombardment from space). MW2 are armed with the weapons seen (in game) and same heroes. Does the Empire take Earth or fail?

I'm thinking anything with more kinetic energy than two logs.

Earth wouldn't bother with nukes.. their too dangerous and if the Empire lands in a city... Well, but then again... there was Hiroshima and Nagasaki but I doubt anyone in this day and age would authorize any such use of power.

W-Why would anyone think that a nuke would be nescesarry to destroy an AT-AT? T-That would be overkill. A couple missiles would probably make that top heavy summabitch just topple over.

Well, im thinkin of the facts
A) thermal detonators have FAR more explosive power than m-67s
B)there is a helluva lotta armor on them things, im not sure if a cruise m9issile could take one out
Seriously, cords tripped them. Granted they were probably made of some Star Wars material, but the AT-AT's weren't using their ultra powerful shields or super strong armor to propel themselves. They still have mass and they still propel themselves at 60km/h. We don't even need to break their armor or shielding, just trip them. The Empire doesn't have the ground strength needed to conquer Earth (number notwithstanding).

There was one guarding the landing pad in RotJ. It dropped Luke off to Vader. It was conveniently forgotten later.
