Darth Maul. More skilled lightsaber duelist, faster, roughly as strong. Kyle is stronger in the Force at this point and has better means of using the Force combatively, but he doesn't have anything that will serve to debilitate Maul (telekinesis, for example). The fight can only realistically end in a lightsaber duel, and this is where Maul is his better.
