Kenobi solidly.

Honestly TPM Obi-Wan would be the better comparison Imho.

He really wouldn't, DP. Luke was able to fight on even terms with Darth Vader with very little experience and training, and perfectly mirrored his fighting style within moments, all due to his connection to the Force. Kenobi's dueling feats don't exceed this.

Kenobi has better TK.

The idea that TPM Obi Wan could have given Vader pause is absurd.

I see their TK and power in general as negligibly close at this point in time, as well as their application of it.

I don't see how Luke is going to defeat the soresu master; he has neither the feats nor the accolades.

Luke almost stomped Vader in ROTJ. He was holding back the entire time because he didn't wanna hurt his father, but as soon as he got pissed, Vader shit his pants and had no way to defend against Luke's onslaught. Whether or not Luke was in his Zone during that fight is debateable, but Luke definitely almost stomped him.

Yeah, that Luke kicks Obi Wan's face in. The one we see evenly matched with a Vader that may or may not have been fighting seriously is not a very good match for Obi Wan at this point.

That tree feat was pretty impressive. For Obi-Wan anyway.

ROTS Kenobi fought on even terms with Sith Anakin, whose easily on par with ROTJ Vader as a swordsman. Probably superior. But without a doubt Sith Anakin was heads and miles above ROTJ Luke. In a totally different league.

It's not really that impressive for him to do well against his Daddy who was emotionally compromised and didn't actually want to hurt him.

Lucas already confirmed that Luke at this point in his career was only half trained and not fully equipped to handle Vader.

Don't get me wrong, he was amazing for what little training he had. But even being Ventress level would be amazing enough for him given his lack of training.

Being on Ventress's level should be more than enough to give Vader a good fight, though, given that Ventress fought evenly with Anakin.

She could put up a fight in Sabers but would ultimately lose.

A few years after Rotj would be a completely different story. But you can't honestly expect Luke with 3-4 years of self training to match ROTS Kenobi.

Sure, but Luke's done just as well. Pretty shortly after RotJ he was able to levitate himself while at the same time lifting a large speeder, and IIRC at one point he was able to prevent the Millenium Falcon from crashing by manipulating it's controls externally with the Force. With those two things alone, Luke has demonstrated both power and precision with TK that at least rivals Obi-Wan's.

Not to mention his superiority in other aspects of the Force, most notably Telepathy.

He did well enough matching Vader.

If he is as good as Ventress as you seemed to suggest, then he definitely can match ROTS Obi-Wan, considering that Ventress and Kenobi are equals.
