I don't think Sidious would instantly TK Dooku like he did Maul Mid-Saber fight. Especially not in an up close and tight quarters duel.

I'm pretty sure his force defenses weren't up at the time being as he was in his own palace and Sidious was a long way away so he most likely didn't feel the need to have defenses up.

Yeah because Sabers weren't involved. Obviously the more powerful force user will over power the less powerful force user in that situation.
