Honestly, I'm actually a little surprised there hasn't been more support for Spider-Man in here. I think this match is either a bit closer than everyone is considering, or potentially spite in Parker's favor. We'll need to find a Spidey enthusiast and lure him into our we8 of deb8te.

Chapter 1 Luffy has the same speed as Spidey and I think they're as strong as each other what with Spidey breaking that warehouse and Luffy punching out sea monsters.
Even though they are equal at this stage, Luffy's body is highly resistant to blunt attacks which is the only kind of attack Spider-Man is capable of.

Here's a thing about One Piece: It's power levels are relatively flat. Or to put it another way, in the first 4-5 arcs or so, Luffy isn't pushed hard by any of his foes in a direct manner. It is not until Crocodile that Luffy finds his level and has to start improving to beat foes.
And Luffy's first officer can lift buildings, right off the bat. Luffy's got more muscle than him.
A guy with multi-ton strength can hit Luffy with a weapon that also *explodes* when it hits someone, do so repeatedly, stab him repeatedly, and the only reason it was moderately close was because Luffy had to worry about water.
He also fights a guy who moves so fast he can't be seen and can cut through stone, and takes him out no prob too.
And in the Skypeia arc, a point when he *hasn't* increased in power much (some experience, but no sizable upgrades), he fights people with precog and weapons that can hurt him, so he can handle precog too.
I think you don't realize just how powerful even early Luffy is.
Current Luffy, has precog himself, can harden his body to add massive power to attacks, is way faster, can expand his fists which combined with hardening lets him one-shot punch out large ships...
Well, there is webbing, but yea, the punches are going to do nothing.
Now this is a good response. Civil, but clearly laying out information with which to discuss or counter. Good job.
Unfortunately, I was only half-assing devil's advocate here for the sake of keeping a rapport going. I follow One Piece thoroughly myself, so I know all too well that ol' rubberneck's gonna smash him some spidey bits.

Savage Land has plenty of rivers and such, so it's just a matter of webbing his gumball ass into a ball and rolling him into a river or moat or giant puddle of Brontosaurus piss. Peter's no dunce.
