Drizz't Do'Urden Versus Legolas Greenleaf
A mishap with a Gate spell sends Drizz't to Middle-Earth, into the Greenwood. Legolas, on patrol, spots the dark elf. Some new foul spawn of darkness? The threat must be neutralized.
Legolas gets a surprise round, then the initiative count is tallied. Which elven protagonist will survive?
If this has been done before...Bonus match! Both elves are assaulted by a Balrog. Can they overcome this terrifying beast and gain some much needed experience? They start off in cover and the Balrog is unaware.

Uh, assuming this isn't counting silly DnD mechanics like HP, on the surprise round Legolas might outright kill him with a single volley of arrows.

That was really just a bit of D&D humor. The scenario does have Legolas aware of Drizz't first, though.

Legolas could probably kill Drizzt if he had complete surprise. If Drizzt was aware of danger, if not location, it would be less absolute.
Against a Balrog, Drizzt has the advantage of anti-demon weaponry (Icingdeath) and ridiculous landspeed, so he might help the duo.

Balrogs have high DR, though, Xan.
