First off, if these are movie versions...there's a perfectly functional movie versus forum.
Second, no amount of metal will help Magneto. Clearly the kitchen scene shows he's just as vulnerable to Pietro's speed as everyone else. 50 meters is roughly half a football field. Pietro would punch his dads face off in less than a split second.
