Respect Classic Hyperion

This is a Respect Thread for the original classic Hyperion from the Squadron Supreme. I wanted to start a new thread since the old one has 3 pages of stuff from other Hyperions in it. This is one IS ONLY FOR CLASSIC HYPERION. Also, help would be appreciated.

-Here's the Hyperion vs Wonder Man. Keep in mind this is Wondy when he was portrayed to be as strong/stronger than Thor. I love how Hyperion puts Wondy all the way through the planet. Awesome.

-Here's a great speed feat from the evil Hyperion, whose inferior to the real deal. He easily outclasses Dr. Spectrum and Lamprey in speed, and amazes them with his speed:

-Here's Hyperion and Thor, the big guns of the teammup of Avengers and Squadron Supreme, taking on Imus Champion, a 9 foot tall POWERHOUSE. It's more of a durability feat that anything else for Hyperion. He's the only one who doesnt get beaten down, he just traps himself with Mjolnir on top of him:

-Here's Hyperion & Power Princess vs Thor, Wonder Man, and Warbird. Note how Hyperion and Power Princess are winning, and how easily Warbird gets one shotted. Another thing to note is how angry Thor is, thanks to being called an imposter, and how much calmer Hyperion is, even saying he doesnt like to fight them, he just wants to expose them as imposters:

-And here's classic Hyperion's appearance in Ultimate Power, being only at half power (the two Hyperions, Zarda's, etc are all at half power), he still is shown overpowering the Supreme Power Hyperion, and is still far too much for Wolverine to handle. Hell, Wolverine cant even cut him:

I haven't looked at it all.

But post the rest of the Hyperion fight with Hulk. He loses but it should be posted. I will if I have to. 😬

But great work. I wanted one of these like this at HC.

Edit: Also when he took on Supreme Power Hyperion. The SP one was even more weakened because he fell into the gunk that weakenes him. So its fair to say that classic was more powerful because of THAT. 🙂

-Here's a healing factor showing from Hyperion. He and Zarda attack the Angler, a Quasar villain who can cut pretty much anything, and they both get cut on their sides from their ankle to rib cage. Zarda needs immediate medical help, Hyperion is already healing and goes back to the fight:

Here's some PARADISE X Hyperion stuff.

-Here shows that Paradise X Hyperion has sort of a mix of an origin between King and regular Hyperions. He was a part of the Squadron Supreme, and the humans nuked the planet trying to wipe out all superhumans out of fear, and Hyperion was the sole survivor:

-PX Hyperion wants to know how to kill a "Superman":

-Here PX Hyperion is shown to be the only one powerful enough to go rescue Reed Richards in the Anti-Matter universe. He goes in, saves Reed, but even the Anti-Matter is not enough to kill him until he's transformed back to his younger self, (i assume) depowering him and then the Anti-Matter kills him. Then he goes to the Realm of Death, and literally tears apart anybody or anything in his path to get to Zarda and attack the Grandmaster's Hyperion:

-Here's something really impressive. X-51, who knows practically everything about Hyperion, Spider-Girl, Iron man, all of them, what they can do and everything, heavily implies that PX Hyperion could kill all those Watchers just like he killed Kulan Gath's Army:

-Here's another fight between Hyperion and the Hulk, where they're stalemating until Hulk uses a thunderclap that puts Hyperion down because of his great hearing:

In that case, there's no point to any comic character, including Supes, because they draw on far more ancient archetypes that have existed for millenia.

But what Bentley said. Comment that aren't constructive somehow shouldn't appear in respect threads. If you have commentary on particular feats on character traits, fine, but opinionated bashing doesn't constitute constructive.

Umm...Hyperion is a ripoff. There's not really any way around it. I can't help it if this character has no worth or merit in any way. He was actually created as a deliberate, intentional, obvious ripoff because Marvel wanted to have their own Justice League (Why? I have no idea). Why have Hyperion, the ripoff, when you can go read about Superman, the original (admittedly actually a ripoff of Captain Marvel, but most people don't care about that I think)? They both suck but I'd rather read about the guy who's not the ripoff.

You contradicted your own logic by calling Superman a ripoff. Besides, people can read whomever they choose, and do so for a variety of reasons. Your opinion doesn't make it fact. Nor did you address my point that by this logic, no comic character should be read.

But I was serious about limiting the spam. See that it stops or it'll end in an official warning.

I just can't believe this. Saying what I think magically becomes "spam". It becomes "spam" because I disagree with you? Give me a break. I'm not allowed to have my own opinion? It involved no racism, no flaming, no "hot" stuff that could start a big argument, and no insult-throwing, but it's "spam" because you don't like the idea of someone disagreeing with you. Who did I offend? You, by my believing something that isn't what you believe? I never said people can't or shouldn't read Hyperion (even though there's no point). And Superman being a ripoff doesn't matter because people don't consider him to be. I already non-contradicted myself by pointing out that in all likelihood no one cares if Superman is a ripoff because he's a lot more popular than Captain Marvel. I like Hyperion BECAUSE he is based on Superman. Characters like Hyperion and Gladiator give writers a chance to explore angles that wouldn't otherwise be open.

This is not about agreeing or not, this is about actually reading the statement in this forum that says "you will not bash characters in the respect threads". Reading and respecting rules: That's tech.

You are free to voice your concerns about the character... I don't know, in another forum (not where respect is supposedly given)?
