Welcome to the Stryfe Files

This thread is dedicated to one of the stronger, yet often neglected mutant. Cables clone, Stryfe.
He is an interesting character, because he represents everything that could have gone wrong on Cable. And such an aristocrat for a psychotic character.

So lets pay him some homage.

Now one of the hot topics is which among the among the triplets (X-Man, Cable, Strfye) is the strongest?

Raw power, at their peak?
Shaman X-Man
Cable not hindered by the T.O. with Deadpools healing factor.
Stryfe

How so?
First all you have to read “Adventures of Cyclops & Phoenix” and The Twelve.
Stryfe is rejected, apparently a clone are not suitable container for Apocalypse essence. Yet X-Man was his prime choice for not only cotaining the powers of the twelve, his own, but safely mutant young Nate to harness its raw power. And their you find a hint to contradiction number 2.

Contradiction #2

Neither Cable nor X-Man could live past 21, with out some form of inhibitor. This is due to the vast psionic energy that most humans or mutants are not meant to contain. Yet Stryfe lived and aged safely!!

Adventures of Cyclops & Phoenix

Askani'Son

Its not easy to sneak up on, a telepath. If I said it once, I will say it again. Vast levels of telepathy and telekinesis can expand your own human senses. Hell they can even work as extra sensory perception. So yes a sneak attack or speed blitz are your best choices to take down any character. But not so easy to pull off when the enemy has ESP at a global scale.

Cable #25

The tale of Cable intertwines with Strfye and X-Man. I thought it would be informal, for those who are unfamiliar. They are recaped at the end of issue 30 & 31 by Blaquesmith.

Cable 30

Cable 31

Cable - Blood & Metal 02
Telekinetic Fury

Survives a massive EMP explosion, at ground zero. Cable and Co had to flee into the future to be treated, since no doctor or mechanic could aid them in the present time.

Uncanny X-Men 295 & X-Men v2 #15
Earlier Stryfe abducted Jean and Cyclops. Jean & Cyclops notice that their powers are being inhibited, and Stryfe makes his way with both of them.

He makes short work of the Dark Riders

He then makes his way to give Apocalypse a beating.

X-Force #17
Stryfe humiliates a weaken Apocalypse.

Do you guys remember Jean and Cyclops having their power inhibited? That was all Stryfe.

X-Factor 86
Strfye creates a force field, around Jean and Cyclops to contain them. He controls how much breathable air, retains the force field. Oh I almost forgot, they are on the moon.

X-Men v2 #16
Stryfe disintegrates the walls.

X-Force #18
Strfye vs. Cable and Co. part 1

X-Force #18
Strfye vs. Cable and Co. part 2

One of my favorite all time battles, because of the build up and the drama. A niece TK feat takes place, he is tearing apart the machinery.

X-Man #39
X-Man vs. Stryfe

Some what of a cryptic vision, during meditation X-Man foresees Strfye arrival leading to an encounter among the two. On issue 46, Stryfe retunes which leads story arc to “Blood Brothers”.

Cable #63
Rematch Cable vs. Stryfe
Even though Cable grew stronger, thanks to Franklin Richards healing. He still retains the T.O., and Stryfe pyramid siphons any psy energy.

X-Man #47

TP feat, he communicated and projected himself across Latveria.

Gambit and Bishop: Sons f the Atom
Stryfe comes back, and is dire need of their help. Gambit and Bishop need a reminder of who they are dealing with.

Bishop has had enough of Stryfe, and knocks him through the wall. Stryfe repairs the wall, and no one in the restaurant notices thanks to Sryfe’s mental illusions.

Gambit and Bishop: Sons f the Atom
Turns out that in the future, a cosmic powered entity will shake up things. And Bishop happens to be the its choice to enter this realm. So Stryfe attempts to restrain that cosmic being (with assistance), and decides to become the new host. Because he is not meant to conduct energy like Bishop, it’s a self sacrifice.

This way the Cosmic entity stays stuck in the dimension, and no one lese (Bishop) has to die.

Nice job man...

great thread
