Morlun Respect Thread

So after many people stated that they wanted a Morlun respect thread, I thought I may as well go ahead and make one. He is a very interesting character. I hope you enjoy the thread.

Also just before I finish the beginning of the thread. Morlun's ability often depends on how much energy he has absorbed. So bad showings can generally be attributed to either crappy writing or the fact that he hasn't absorbed a certain life force in a long time.

Durability

So this section will display the durability feat(s) Morlun has shown.

Morlun survives a blast from an extremely large amount of missiles, which was stated that no mortal could survive. Morlun emerges completely unharmed by the attack.

Strength Level

This will show the times Morlun has shown feats of strength or it has been attributed to him by other characters.

Morlun easily tears through an Adamantium net.

This is probably quite heavy hyperbole but still a good statement of Morlun's power. Spider-Man states after being hit by Morlun that he has never been hit that hard. Remarking that even the Hulk didn't hit that hard. But as I said it can be attributed as hyperbole.

Morlun vs W'Kabi and Zuri

Morlun quickly and efficiently deals with the duo.

Morlun vs Shuri

Morlun engages in a long battle with Shuri, he has her on the ropes for the majority of the battle. Luckily for her Morlun is BFR'd by a spell from Shuri's mother.

Morlun vs Patton Parnell

Just before I post the fight I will explain, Patton Parnell was basically an alternative Universes Spider-Man in a way. And as such Morlun was tracking him. Morlun deals with Patton in a shocking way. Dismembering him then finally delivering the killing blow.

Morlun vs Spider-Man

Here Morlun engages in an epic battle with Spider-Man. Morlun ends up gaining the upper hand. Beating Peter so badly that he loses an eye.

Also just to mention the end scan is just to show proof that Peter's eye had been removed from the force of Morlun's attack. We also get a

One particular thing to note in this fight is that is that after Morlun has touched Spider-Man he can track him even when he isn't in the suit. One other thing to note could be Morlun's impressive durability. He withstands many punches form Spider-Man and shows no visible effect.

So for the final part of this battle Spider-Man injects himself with a certain form of radiation. And by doing so he turns the tide of the battle.

So that's it for the respect thread so far. As Morlun is getting more appearances again I will be sure to update it.

Sweet! 👆 Morlun is easily herald level in power. Let me see if I can find something. There was an instance where he ran right past Wolverine and Logan couldn't see, hear or even smell him.

Thanks for saying you enjoy them.

Hopefully current writers can improve your opinion of Morlun.

(don't mean that rudely but in a sense of hoping writers can write him to appeal to you as a comic fan)

Good job. Morlun is by far one of the best characters ever. With his recent showings, I think they are trying to depict him as some type of God or something.

He's definitely becoming more powerful.

I think he always has been this tough (or tougher still) but as we know Morlun's power hugely depends on absorbing one of the 4 totems.

So that's why there is a gap in feats. But as we see after fighting Shuri and others he is damn strong. And we most likely have more feats to come.

I really loved the artwork that was in the Patton Parnell fights.

Made Morlun look realistic with his body structure but also displayed his vampiric nature.
