Sometimes to truly be a hero and the good guy you have to make hard choices for the greater good. Sometimes the real "right" thing to do isn't pretty at all.

As for Wonder Woman in particular! It was the right thing to do but it can also be classified as self defense.

And for Tony, while his methods are questionable he's been doing the right thing if it were the real world and if your honest with yourselves you know it.

Think how many people would live if more superheroes would make the hard choice and allow themselves to become slightly guilty when they needed to do things that we know would prevent many many of the horrible things they know will continue happening if they don't

Heroes can't go around unaccountable for thier actions no matter their intentions. Tony knows that and he's trying to fix it and protect the heroes that are willing to play by the rules as best he can.

The other way of doing things could never world in reality.
