Heh... they skipped the third one on account of it being exceptionally dull, I guess...
Mind you, the direction in 2010 was so bad I wouldn't mind them doing that over again, keeping all the good bits (the sets, Boman and Hal) and junking the rest. It's like the guy had never even seen any Kubrick.
