Compiling a KMC top movies list??

How about this for an idea?

Lets's say, all members interested, list their top 25 movies. Then it would be possible to compile a KMC favourite movie list. (Top 100)

We could set an end date for entry, say, end of march. All members who post their lists would be free to update as often as possible, before the cut off date.

I would be prepared to compile the list.

Any feedback is appreciated concerning idea, good or bad.

I think we should get Kes to set an end date for entry, I suggest 31st March.

It seems logical to post everyones favourites on this thread.

We also need to "encourage" as many members as possible to enter their own personal choices.

I think it is important that no one discusses other members choices, on this thread, until the results have been compiled, otherwise this thread will become a total mess.

I have noticed already that people are treating a "trilogy" as one vote. I don't think this should be allowed. 1 Movie = 1 choice. If we do not follow this rule everyone will know what will happen with Matrix, Star wars & Lord of the rings etc etc. I urge members who have posted trilogies etc to ammend their lists accordingly.

How will the points system work? Will a film that is number one in someones lists get 25 points and the 25th film gets 1 point?

Agreed. Change my #16 from "Lord of the Rings" to "Lord of the Rings - Return of the King."
