OT DVD Individual packaging

Has anybody heard any rumblings about the Individual packaging art/layout of the movies in the dvd set coming out in September? I wonder if they will look like the prequels.

Yeah well if you look at the covers they look a little different than ones they showed in their previous post. I smell a fake, or something 'work in progress' leaked out. If you look at vader on the ESB cover hishelmet looks distorted.

Nah, that's just a light trick. I'd be willing to believe it, cause if you notice it's all the same style as the prequel covers. One guy holding an ignited lightsaber, with other characters and aspects from the movie, surrounding him. That's the only thing I don't like. I mean, really, get some new material. They should have hired Drew Struzan again, or just used his orignal cover for the SE like they did with the VHS versions.

But look at both of the updates on TFN. If you look closely the ESB and ROTJ covers look different. I think the 'A New Hope' looks great, but the other two are looking kind of full. Know what I mean?

I looked at the other link and I also noticed that it was a website in some other language. There could be different covers for different countries. I dunno, they do that with the books. Oh well, it's not like it really matters anyway. Come September, we'll know for sure. wink

Hmm, I just checked the other link and there it says that the picture is from the Swedish Internetstore Dischshop. They even said that it will come out at 20. September, not 21 as I have heard before. And none of these covers look like the covers we see in the trailer for the OT DVD box.

The individual covers look like a photoshop job and on another note, on the main pack we've got Han, Leia, Luke and the droids but where exactly is Chewie? Not content with ignoring him in the medal front he's also getting ignored here as well!

So you are saying that since Chewie should be on the cover of Ep.4, then Jar Jar should have been on the cover of EP.1?

No thats not it. The difference between widescreen and fullscreen is that the widescreen is silver while the fullscreen is gold. There are no other differences, as far as I know.

The was a debate on this thread whether or not the covers were fakes, but they have jus been put on starwars.com, so they are definately real

They're real... stop being so pessimistic.
