Chapter One - Invisible
She walked through the hallways seamlessly. No body noticed her. All the people not even glancing at her, as if she wasn’t there. She did not care, she was to it. Used to feeling out of place, used to being shunned, used to being ignored.
As she passed unnoticed through the bustling hallways, she looked cynically out onto the people that surrounded her, but did not acknowledge her.
‘These people do not speak to me, because they seem to believe that they are superior to me. What is the point in living in such a place as this?. A place filled with arrogant morons, who never question, but always follow. Who always criticize, but are fundamentally flawed in themselves. There is no point in these people, they are slaves to their own ignorance. They are slaves to their peers, slaves to the latest fashions and fads, nothing but clones produced by a flawed society. They are nothing but clones. Nothing but slaves.’
She made her way out of the bustling school hallway, and out onto the dulled grass of the outside world.
She walked the streets, again, no one acknowledged her, no one even gave her a glance. Except for one man, standing stiffly, looking at her sternly, from behind his dark glasses.
This man intrigued Carrie, he certainly stood out from the pack of mindless droves that filled the street.
He was still stood there, unmoving, his face without expression.
He moved slowly towards her, his face that same serious expression. This man looked as if he was part of the authorities. This made her feel quite uncomfortable, she had done nothing wrong, this man did not look very happy at all.
“Miss Russell.” he said, smoothly, without emotion.
She looked at him with wide eyes, she had never felt fear like this.
“Yes?.” she said, trying her hardest to mask the fear pulsing through her veins wildly.
“I would like to discuss something with you, please, come with me to somewhere less crowded.” She looked at him for a few seconds, suspicious. She wanted to know who he is, what his intentions were, and what exactly he wanted to discuss with her.
They sat down in the quiet corner of the town, on a ageing old bench. She looked on at him, her nerves growing. This man was very intimidating.
He began to speak in his slow, controlled tone.
“I have a proposition for you, that I believe, you will be quite interested in.”
