who, oh who is to blame for catholic priests molesting children?
could it be the priests themselves for fondling children? could it be the bishops who choose to transfer them to another diocese rather than excommunicate their ass? no no no....BLAME THE LIBERALS!!

WASHINGTON - In a rare personal attack on the Senate floor, Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (news, bio, voting record) accused Sen. Rick Santorum (news, bio, voting record) on Wednesday of being self-righteous and insensitive for a column he wrote three years ago linking Boston's liberalism to the sex abuse scandal in its Catholic diocese.
Santorum, R-Pa., wrote in the July 2002 column for Catholic Online that promoting alternative lifestyles feeds such aberrant behavior as priests molesting children.
"Priests, like all of us, are affected by culture," Santorum wrote. "When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this scandal, it is no surprise that Boston, a seat of academic, political and cultural liberalism in America, lies at the center of the storm."
now on to karl rove. you know, the bush supported head of the c.i.a. who decided to leak info on an agent and compromise national security for the sole purpose of satisfying a grudge....who is to blame? who i ask you? WHO!?!??
BLAME THE LIBERALS!!!!

Rep. King Says Russert and Others in Media Should 'Be Shot,' Not Karl Rove
By E&P Staff / Editor & Publisher
NEW YORK From the transcript of an interview on Tuesday night on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country," between host Joe Scarborough and Congressman Peter King, a Republican from New York, on the Plame case and the possible leak of the CIA agent's name by White House aide Karl Rove.
***
SCARBOROUGH: The last thing you want to do at a time of war is reveal the identity of undercover CIA agents.
KING: No. Joe Wilson, she recommended—his wife recommended him for this. He said the vice president recommended him. To me, she took it off the table. Once she allowed him to go ahead and say that, write his op-ed in “The New York Times,” to have Tim Russert give him a full hour on “Meet the Press,” saying that he was sent there as a representative of the vice president, when she knew, she knew herself that she was the one that recommended him for it, she allowed that lie to go forward involving the vice president of the United States, the president of the United States, then to me she should be the last one in the world who has any right to complain.
And Joe Wilson has no right to complain. And I think people like Tim Russert and the others, who gave this guy such a free ride and all the media, they're the ones to be shot, not Karl Rove.
Listen, maybe Karl Rove was not perfect. We live in an imperfect world. And I give him credit for having the guts.
And I really—I tell you, Republicans are running for cover. They should be out attacking Joe Wilson. We should throw this back at them with all the nonsense that has been said about George Bush and all the lies that have come out.
SCARBOROUGH: Well...
KING: Let's at least stand by the guy. He was trying to set the record straight for historical purposes and to save American lives. And if Joe Wilson's wife was that upset, she should have come out and said that her husband was a liar, when he was.
perhaps bigevil was correct, and every negative event in history can be directly blamed on liberals. [/sarcasm] i thought he was a rare gem, but apparently this liberalphobia is running rampant in america. whatever your political beliefs, surely you must see that liberals have become the scapegoat for the most unrelated and ridiculous issues, whether they possess a priest and force him to fondle a child, or whether the 'bias liberal' media is at fault of doing their job and reporting the truth, as they did with democrats such as bill clinton..but i guess its ok to expose the truth on capital hill...so long as it doesnt negatively effect republicans.
i made this thread because i would like others to post any material they found so that we may point and laugh. so...anyone?
What? The official policy of the United States is not "Blame the liberals?"
I am mostly a conservative, but there are points to made about the self righteous behavior of the conservative politicians. Personally, I am so sick of Rick Santorum's ass backwards quotes. I will take the Alec Baldwin stance and say if this guy is ever in a position of high power in the US, I am renouncing my US citizenship immediately.
yeah, why should we not place blame where it belongs?
did THE LIBERALS start the war? did THE LIBERALS justify it with false intelligence?
bush is our commander in chief, he calls the shots and military operations are ultimately overseen by HIM, since....hes the COMMANDER IN CHIEF. but hey, not his fault...must be someone elses....probably a liberal
Yes. The first step on the road to a better world I reckon involves the truth, and putting blame or perhaps responsibility firmly at the feet of those who deserve it, those who are responsible. Enough buck passing, scape goating and a$$ covering.

well, the counter arguement from the right seems to be: if we cant BLAME THE LIBERALS....then we cant blame anybody
by the way, i dont blame the conservatives...i dont blame the republicans....i blame the bush administration. (for a pointless war, and 1700+ american lives needlessly lost) why? because they are responsible. right or wrong, they are responsible.
No, people blame Bush for starting a pointless war, and he justified it with false intelligence. Bush and his administration started a war, that has helped Iraq no further then when Saddam was running it....I can't see how you can't see that?
well, in your sarcasm you touched on the heart of the issue. rather than place blame where it belongs (on the individuals responsible) people on both sides would rather blame an ambiguous lable. so if you support the war i can say "YOU GOD DAMN REPUBLICANS ARE RUINING THIS COUNTRY" and vice versa.
both sides squabbling over titles who's meanings have been lost for over 50 years in america. its a kind of clan battle over the handling of news reporting, and yet the war goes on and people are dying.
