I've just finished reading 20 issues of Batgirl, and I'll be damned if I'm not impressed with her.
So much so, that I truly believe she could handle Beast with minimal effort. ( Hell, I'm even questioning how she lost to slade!)
Before anyone says anything, the girl AIN'T peak human, she's full blown friggin meta no matter what you hear. She has more bullet time feats than Spiderman.
She's one punch KO'd SIX 6'0 300 thugs five feet in the air in under a second, timed. She's moved so fast that Robin couldn't see her. She's been clearly stated as to being better than Batman at combat.
Batgirl is a master at nerve strikes and super fast attacks. Her agility is below Beast's, but her speed and skill make up for it, imo.
Batgirl's number one trick is to specifically predict her opponent's moves. And unlike X's, her version works better when the opponent gets angrier, not worse.
Batgirl seems to have a somewhat similar belt to what Bruce has, but breaks out the toys very rarely. She has, to my knowledge, used trackers, gas masks, gas, smoke, napalm, night vision gear, the standard grapple gun, and lots and lots of razorangs.
She loses to Beast for the same reason she loses Slade: too fast. Oh I know your answer "she dodges bullets!" unforutnetl bullets have been the oldest jobbers in comics. Shiva isn't breaking the sound barrier yet she still manages to get in several good hits. So obvioulsy dodging bullets is different game thant hand to hand combat.
The first time Slade undersetimed her and she got in a good hit. The next time she coulrn't really touch him. The faster her opponent is the harder it is for her to keepup. Its how Shiva fights her its how Slade outmaneuvers her and it is how beats will (probably) kill her. In terms of reflexs and speed Beast and Slade are about even but Beast is much stronger so not only will she have a hell of time keeping track of him but when he hits her it is for keeps. I belive she can certainly put him down if she gets a couple good hits in but the odds are heavily stacked in Beast's favor.
Forgot to add if she uses all the stuff in her belt well then her odds go up to about 5-6/10
Ex-f*cking-actly. Beast has been weaving through machine gunfire since his first friggin appearances EVER. Batgirl has impressed the hell out of me, but every physical attribute she has, he has at least a tiny bit better. I'm not saying her curbstomps her, but he does take a slim majority. 6/10 I'd say.
