Hal wins, but this would be a fairly good battle. As stated before, Hal just has much more impressive feats compared to John. John's no slouch, but when you compare the two, it's pretty evident as to who the victor is.

John is one of the more capable Lanterns,but he is not yet at Hal's level (and may never be). However he is extremely capable.
