Orion's only notable offense is to hit first, hit second, and hit it some more. Astro force is great, but he's gotta sit in the stupid chair of his first. And you know Orion doesn't want pop to see him riding that gay
ass thing. Besides, his first reaction is always to punch whatever's in his way. MM goes intangible and does the vision thing where he partially rematerializes his hand into orion's brain. Orion turns into a quivering mass of pussy on the floor.
Orion wins 9 out of 10. MM's tricks may let him win once, but Orion is way out of MM's league. MM's a mediocre fighter with a bunch of powers, but Orion's a warrior with hundreds of years of experience, with a power (Astro Force) that could disintegrate MM. Orion would need to hold back just to prevent himself from accidentally killing MM.
But MM can turn intangible? So what? Orion could modulate the frequency of his blast to stun him (or severely injure him if he chose) and either keep blasting when MM turns tangible or just knock him out with a punch.
There was a reason Orion went up against Superman after Superman trashed the rest of the league.
It's never really been established whether telepathy can affect orion. IF it does, Orion goes down hard. Orion should by no means win a fight with superman if superman went so far as to trash the JLA. He'd speedblitz him and everybody. Bloodlusted superman is invincible. He'd just sundip otherwise anyway. But I'm getting off topic. It comes down to telepathy.
