You totally underestimate GL. Apocalypse take him out by stepping on him? You must be kidding me. GL makes giant hands and rips Apoc's armor right off.

So are you saying Apoc is able to grow 100 ft and stomp on Lantern instantly?

Even if he was able to do that, the ring would protect John if he isnt ready or siply warn him of the potential threat. Prep or no prep.
