its not a lie, but its not true either. THere are rumors that paramount wants to continue with out crusie and with Pitt but there is certainly no deal done.
(Paramount) is determined to keep the lucrative series alive after "Mission : Impossible III" took $400 million at the box office, with the previous episode taking $545 million … Sources say Paramount is prepared to do whatever it takes to get Pitt on board, and is even willing to make him the highest-paid movie star in history, with a salary topping $40 million … "Everything's being kept top secret, but they're offering Brad a deal no one could possibly refuse. There's no doubt, this would make Brad Pitt the biggest and highest paid star in the world."
A few notes on why this might not be true, despite what the Daily Mail says: 1- the "Mission Impossible" movies are produced by Cruise/Wagner Productions. As in Tom Cruise/Paula Wagner. So how Paramount plans on getting Tom out of a movie he owns the rights to is anyone's guess. 2- Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are both represented by CAA, the very powerful talent agency who has already made it known that they will go to war with Paramount if they feel Cruises reputation is being damaged by the studio.
It's lies. I'm pretty sure Cruise owns the franchise, or at least part of it... And like Paramount would pay Brad Pitt that much money after all they've been through with Tom Cruise.
well its not lies.. it was reported. It may not go throuh but it isnt a lie. ANd as I said Cruise/Wagner productions is a big part of it and they broke off their deals with paramount.
