PotC The script writers pattern (possible spoilers)
Ok I have finaly managed to put everything together properly wit this theory..So imma give it its own thread:
The script writers for PotC have said in the commentary for movie 1. That when writing a screenplay for a movie..they always have a teaser kiss just slap bang in the middle so it keeps everyone wondering...and then the real kiss happens at the end..
movie 1
Beginning: Liz starts off with Norrington..
Middle: teaser Will/Liz possible kiss
End: They kiss at the end
movie 2
Beginning: She starts off with Will.
Middle: teaser Liz/Jack possible kiss
End: They Kiss at the end
If you take their rule and put it over the trilogy as a whole which is ONE BIG STORY..you can see what they are doing:
Movie 1: they have started with Will/Liz
Movie 2: teaser moment Jack/Liz possible relationship
Movie 3: Jack/Liz
The writers said they didn’t want the Kiss in the early draft of movie 2 they removed it but then put it back in. They never said WHY they did this though. If they did it would give away the end of the trilogy which is Jack/Liz. People think that its because of the age thing and her cheating on Will. OH PLEASE! Disney isn’t stupid... that’s what the BASIS of the Trilogy is about. Her cheating on Will and Will mirroring Davy Jones!
OK. The writers realized that it’s HARD to put their typical "kiss rule" (where the girl ends up with who she kisses) at the end of movie 2 when its a in fact the middle part of a TRILOGY, which is one big story as a whole..The overall trilogy and how it all ends is what is more important to ultimatley satisfy the mass audience. So the kiss rule NEEDS to be placed over the trilogy BUT the Kiss rule ALSO NEEDS to be in each film otherwise the audience will be like "WTF where is the ending kiss?"..they will leave dissapointed if its NOT THERE..This is where the writers run into contradictory problems.
I think they decided from the offset of making a PotC trilogy that they WANTED Liz to end up with Jack at the end of the trilogy. To make this happen this means that the "teaser possible relationship" has to be with Jack in the middle of the Trilogy..but it contradicts itself becuase they CANT use the typical kiss rule at the end of movie 2 where we know Liz has ended up with who she kisses They have to bend their rules a little bit when it comes to the middle film. If they used the usual pattern then it would screw up the ending of the trilogy. So they probably thought:
“Ok lets take the kiss out and just have the chemistry/almost curiosity kiss between them as the "possible relationship teaser" for the middle of the trilogy….BUT if we do that the audience will be really dissapointed that we teased them with the curiosity kiss/all the chemistry and then didnt give them a final kiss at the end”
So the answer to the problem is MAKE the final kiss in movie 2..a "fake kiss”. But top it off with a little teaser kiss just before she leaves and THAT is what we see her DO!. She gives him a big full on kiss which fits fine with the kiss rule when its placed over 1 movie on its own. The “almost kiss” before she leaves mixed with the other chemistry they shared through out movie 2 fits perfectly as “the teaser possible relationship” that they place in the middle of the trilogy as a whole. It also works well with the next movie because they NEED to use the "who will she kiss/choose" pattern again in movie 3 to keep everyone glued to the screen..So they needed to make it look as if she's having problems choosing who she wants to hook up with by the end of movie 2.. WILL SAW THE KISS so we will be wondering in movie 3 who she's going to CHOOSE at the end of it…which is Jack..when you look at the rule they have placed over the trilogy as a whole..
If the Trilogy ended up with will/Liz then they would have ultimatley pissed of the audience because they gave you a possible steaming and hot relationship with jack/liz then didnt give you the REAL DEAL at the end... It's just like the fact they HAD to put a kiss at the end of movie 2 so they wouldnt piss off the overall audience by teasing you with a possible kiss in the middle and then not following through with the real deal.

Even if they did change the pattern it would STILL piss off the overall audience..it would make all the chemistry seem wasted..and completely pointless to be in movie 2 so the audience sat trough like 1 hour of Liz/Jack possibilities and all for NOTHING...they would get alot of bad reviews for adding aload of "meaningless crap" into the middle of the trilogy..Even if they have it where she accepts she loves jack but leaves Jack for Will to "save him"..it's STILL going to piss of the mass audience they want jack to WIN..even if Jack accepts it too..what was the friggin point in teasing us and not giving us the real deal? They cant go out on a wimpy fizzle like that...
They said that they don't like using "Book ends" in their scripts so much so that they said it twice in their 5 rules of script writing which means they never end the SAME WAY THEY START OUT....if she ended up back with Will then whats the friggin point in having that rule PotC script writers hmm?
why did you use these rules in both movies so far..and then NOT use them over the most important thing the TRILOGY AS A WHOLE...??
It would be really stupid of them to end it where she chooses will over Jack..

i know! it would mean that they wasted their time writing that part about jack and liz, the teasing part. Aslo wasted our time in watching those steamy jack and liz scenes..while we're literally hanging on our edge of our seats. I know i was! I almost fell in front of the person where i was sitting.

lol she is a dirty liar lets put it that way. she did norrington really wrong, but he f'd jack up in the second one.. so i dont mind that, then she goes with will, backstabs him lol kisses jack
She can lie to get her way but it could be for a good cause and it makes the film more thrilling to see if jack/will believe or trust her and which will have her for themselves
liz was an idiot and made a mistake..but shes no whore. I think this is a really good lesson for liz to follow her heart than her brain. so lets jst leave her alone to think about that. If ppl hate her so much then dont talk about her

sorry, but a whore is someone who has sleet around...and my gist is, is that Liz is still a virgin...it is the 17th century....just cuz she loved Will and is now falling for Jack, who is her soulmate, doesn't make her a whore...and for the record she never had any interest in Norrington...

I don't hate Liz, I love her...she's a pirate, just like Jack....If I hated her then I wouldn't want Liz to be with jack...right - if everyone hates her then why does everyone (except one or two) want Jack and Liz to end up together...they are so hott together.
