Ok I just had a thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
remember in POTC 1 Barbosa gives Elizabeth the red dress to wear, we all wonder why he has a dress to begin with
What if it used to belong to Tia Dalma??
she is the one who brought him back from the dead, what if Barboss is the one whom she cheated with and that made Davy Cut out his heart?
Just a thought on why Barbossa had a dress to give Lizzie in the first place??

The hooker theory is pretty good. There is a deleted scene where Liz asks him what happened to the previous owner and he says he doesn't want to talk about that. He just wants to watch her eat. But in all honesty, dresses were expensive and they would be considered treasure just like gold and jewels and stuff. That's what I always thought. The sailors on the ship Liz was a stowaway on went totally crazy over having a dress on the ship.
