Hawkman (Carter Hall) vs. Namor
One may think this would be a curbstomp, but if you check out the Hawkman respect thread it's a lot closer than you think. Hawkman has even beat Aquaman hand to hand quite effectively and rountinely clashes with class 100 characters, etc. So how does he match up with the avenging son Namor?
Stipulations:
Weapons: No claw of Horus, he has axe and mace though.
Location: Battle takes place in San Diego near Sub Diego (DC city)

I'll say that Namor wins though. Vastly stronger, can fly as fast and has probably faster reaction times, not to mention better durability. Hawkman is no chump but Namor is above him.
Namor's stronger, but that doesn't mean much as Hawkman has hurt Black Adam, Wonder Woman, Despero, Hawk God, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter...etc.
Ummm...Hawkman has shown going warp-speeds in space actually carrying a ship in tow, and can survice in space without any aids and he also has a healing factor healing wounds instantly. I wouldn't say faster reflexes, as Hawkman tags speedforce users like nothing.
Yeah I know, Hawkman is pretty low on the totem for comic knowledge on this board. Can't blame me for trying Little unknown fact Hawkman can channel animal powers just like Vixen and Animal Man, but hasn't used it in years

Meh, I read lots of JSA so this is one of the lesser-knowns that I actually know fairly well. But not many others do. A shame, really. JSA >>> JLA (at least pre-crisis...I haven't read anything new).
Damn right, JSA is MY favorite team ever. JSA >>>> Alpha Flight in my books. I love the book, love the stories and love the characters. I was tempted to make a JSA respect thread, but there's just too much to cover.
The new JSA book is awesome, definetly better than JLA. Hawkman on his own takes out a group of Nazi super villians including a speedster with ease.
JSA is the best team book, has been for a very long time.
Johns last run was incredible, and his new run will soon surpass the JLA[and the new JLA series is awesome, imo], I'm sure.

Yes, my main problem with travelling around the cosmos is getting STDs. Anyways, I'd say it is a close call, but I count on Hawkman's experience to give him 6/10.
Darn right, they just have more memorable arcs. As Green Lantern put it, the world looks up to the heroes in the Teen Titans and the JLA, but the all heroes look up to the JSA.
Dr.Mid-nite even though he doesn't get shown much is one of my favorite characters. His design is awesome.
