A three-on-one King of Fighters-esque match, with Gen as the 'boss character' of sorts.

Using pilfered Shadowlaw technology, Gen is cured of his leukemia and makes a full recovery.

Chun Li and Fei Long also assist in Gen's comeback from death out of respect for their former master, Chun Li acting as surrogate nurse and Fei offering his private retreat outside of the city for Gen to recover.

Three months later, Gen is back running the Genhanten and keeping his two newest apprentices, Yun and Yang out of trouble by having them work at the restaurant as waiters.

Takuma Sakazaki and his disciples are in Hong Kong, acting as support for Yuri as she competes in a females-only tournament. Yuri was defeated in the final match by a certain Chinese Interpol agent, but Takuma is impressed by his daughter's resolve and her improvement in her fighting style.

They stop by the Genhanten for dinner, planning on returning to Southtown in several days when Takuma senses Gen's fighting aura nearby. Imagine Takuma's surprize that he looks up and sees Gen, seated at a table, reading his book of Chinese poetry.

The next day, Gen receives a letter of challenge. Not having anything else to do, Gen accepts. Upon arriving at an abandoned temple, he finds Takuma (in his Mr. Karate alter ego), Ryo and Robert preparing for battle, while Yuri acts as cheerleader.

Time to have some fun.

This match, as mentioned, is a KOF boss match, with Gen as the aforemtioned 'boss.' The order of the AOF team is as follows: Ryo, Robert and Mr. Karate.
