well, the 19th is when the stars meet the fans. idk...whenever i see the date May 19, i get al depressed that I dont have plans.....HAVE A FUN TIME DIVA!.......AND GET MY AUTOGRAPH PLEASE!!...well, try as hard as u can cuz ur my bestest friend!

No, it's not odd. This is how it's always done with every single film. There's a national release date, sometimes a limited release date before that and always an official premiere before those where cast and crew celebrate the film finally ready to be shown in theatres.
Although not all official premieres are webcast, hehe!
