The Gravedancers
So last night I decided to go one of those Horror Fest films, and during the trailers, there was one image that really made me want to see just one movie. I looked over the whole damn site searching for that one movie. It was called the Gravedancers, and what excited me about this movie was these people with really weird creepy faces.
The Gravedancers is a movie about three friends from college meet up at their buddy Devin's funeral/reception. You don't know how Devin died, and I still don't know if its important or not, but they end up going back to the cemetery where he was buried late at night. They all get pretty drunk, and one of the friends finds a black envelope by his friends tombstone. He opens it, and notices it has no address on it, but reads it aloud, and its some weird curse that he's not aware of. He and his friends then dance on three graves after that (yeah its dumb, but lets move on).
Time goes by, maybe a week or a few days, and one of the friends who happens to be married and is the only one married, is having weird things happening at his house. His wife suspects he's having an affair, because often she hears a woman moaning in the bedroom. Well it appears that all the friends that danced on graves are having the same things happening, but in different ways.
As you know, the married man Harris and his wife Allison are both experiencing this weird female presence that likes to play piano and moan. One of the other friends Kira, is experiencing something that could be a spiritual rape, where she is sexually abused and has teeth marks all over her body. The other friend Sid is having these odd random fires occur in his apartment.
Sid hires these two paranormal experts, who decide to help all four of them. Apparently, what the friends read out loud was a curse, and the hauntings will not end unless all of them "wait it out" or are "layed to rest" which is quite self explanatory. Yet, they do find another way that may just save them. I'll stop right there
Overall I enjoyed this movie, I truly did. The Pros were the scary look and feel of the ghosts. What they did, and what they looked like where just crazy, and amazing, I really think they look scary. Also, you get a liking for the characters, which makes it really sad and scary when you think something will happen to them. Also, some of the effects were amazing.
On the other hand, this movie sucked as well. This would be one of those Sci-Fi movies that are played every once and a while, if you know what I mean. The movie started off slow, and it took forever to see the ghosts. Also, the ending was pure CHEESE. It was so dorky, and the special effects really sucked at times. This is a movie to see with friends so you can make fun of the ending aloud, which makes it completely better.
So basically I'll just post up some pictures. What really got me excited about this movie was how the ghosts look. They have these big white eyes and huge grins, that remind me of Iron Maiden's Eddie, from their cover art.
Let me guess that one image where you saw a lady with white eyes and the teeth was coming out cuz that image made me wanna look through the website to find that image dude that movie rocked a little cheesy images but aww man great movie!!!!

Ok,I just looked it up and the damn link for the trailer isn't woking...but I saw the plot outline...They're being terrorized by the ghosts of a child pyromaniac, an ax murderer, and a rapist.Even More interesting even though there are quite a few criticisms on effects and comparisons to Sam Raimi's work...NowI really want to see this

Dude id say the best part was when the woman was laying bed with one of the guy and he thought it was his wife than his wife walks in with a towel, awww man when he jumped out the bed and how her eyes were just plan white was just too cool and creepy and im a horror person and for this movie to creep me out oh my fn gosh.
Id say the only cheesy part was the part with the pyro kid! by the rapist guy looked cool but the lady was far the best one!

rape scenes? Well......I guess you could say there was rape included, but you didn't see anything too crazy. There really was no nudity, but rape was just implied.

Hahahahaha dude, that part was hillarious when you saw the wife come into the room with a towel. EVERYONE in the theater I was in like groaned, it was soooo funny.
I thought the cheesiest part was when [SPOILER - highlight to read]: the wife gets in their hummer or whatever that huge car was, and just bashes into the girl ghost, and then gets her husband, drives off, and that huge head of the ghost charges after them. That was soooo nerdy , yeah, and that pyro kid was really dumb too. He wasn't scary. He just looked like he had no neck.
