Phoenix/White Crown runs another mini Gauntlet ---
From top to bottom:
1. Captain Atom (quantum zone)
2. Solar
3. Ion (most powerful version)
4. Cosmic Extant
5. Man-Thing

How should it be?
I'm nearly complete ignorance when it comes to DC.

I only included him
cause I thought he was uber according to the respect thread you made for him.
Unless him rivaling the Word is hyperbole.
Isn't the Word like supposed to be an aspect of the Presence?
I might've mis-understood what you posted over there.

My thread is dedicated to Swamp Thing.
Man Thing is a different character entirely.

First: I don't take into account everything that's posted as fact,
that's a big mistake a lot of cats make.
Second: Many respect threads are mis-leading, so you can't bank on them either.
Third: I consider myself ignorant when it comes to DC,
cause I don't read DC at all.
I have read a few arcs, and I've enjoyed them very much,
but these arcs were not uber scale stories.
Like Kingdom Come (Spectre was there, but didn't do much at all)
Watchmen and a few others.
But I'm glad you're around Kdude, to help me out if I need DC info.
Guys like Jun, Galan, are sorta like my DC uber encyclopedias,
but no one knows it all.

Sexellent choices though.
I definitely agree.
You, know, that's like one of 5 books I have of DC in the physical sense.
I bought it in book form, not tpb. (Watchmen)
I also have this huge 10 by 12 special print of Shazam "Power of Hope"
Meh, it's ok.
I have Cosmic Odyssey in tpb.
One of my best friends has Kingdom Come in tpb,
that's the first time I actually read a DC comic,
in fact, that's what got me back into comics.

Yeah,
that Version of ST would pwn Phoenix.
The Word stated that ST's power in said state rivalled that of the Voice himself.
I simply loved that respect thread, I'll copying all those scans,
the dialogue is epic, I mean, one could actually apply that smoothness in real life.
Moore has always been ... well go figure, he wrote Watchmen,
and I still consider that the gretaest comic that I have ever read. (ironic)
In truth, imo, it's not even a comic, more like a novel with illustrations.

KC and Watchmen are in my top 5 all time favorites for sure.

Milliar and Moore were just excellent with that series, [I'm glad you appreciate it as well].
The writing during the 2nd series of ST, is some of the better material I've personally read.

How the hell could Swamp thing equal the voice? Isn't he just an elemental?

In a nutshell,
Swamp Thing was very powerful at the time -- [ie. he had the power of every element, with the exception of fire].
