Sentinels versus our World!

An army of renegade sentinels (1000 to be exact) suddenly appear in OUR world, wrecking havoc and leaving a path of destruction in major cities around the world. They seek to subjugate humans to the rule of machines and demand immediate acquiescence. Our world leaders have other ideas however, and immediately plan to organize the world's militaries for a united counter-attack.

Will we succeed?

we're screwed.

the first scan is the best example of this because sentinels are more maneuverable that planes and strike in groups.

the government can't deploy armed forces fast enough to counter a strike in a major city and the buildings can shield them from missiles(the fighters pilots won't fire at buildings with people in them)

world leaders would get killed off, then society goes to shit soon after.

sentinels for the win.

the ability to land vertically in a dense city, I would say so

the harrier can do that also but not as fast or in a city scape.

you guys are thinking all wrong

Scud missles arent nuclear but can take out 2 city blocks

and hydrogen bombs have 10x the blast raduis and destructive capabilites of a atom bomb

plus no radiation

That has nothing to do with flight maneuverability. Which is where the jets would be engaging them, in the air.

the only way that'd work is if we accept complete global annihilation and the extinction of humans since we'd be unleashing nukes all over the world as the sentinels have spread across the globe. Those humans that do survive the nuclear attacks will soon die from the radiation.

I, for one, would rather accept our sentinel overlords than to die.
