Yeah, I agree, he'd take it in the end. I see Vamp as the overall physically fittest here (though Gene might be slightly faster when doing short side dashes), in melee combat he'd definetely win, range combat is more to the even side, but I guess his shadow pinning skill and his ability to read muscles will give him to much of an edge, even against Gene.
