Selene isn't a "vampire" vampire. She doesn't drink blood, she drains souls/life essences.
On top of that, she's a competent sorceress, telepath, pyrokinetic and telekinetic (inanimate matter only) and she has superhuman stats (strength, speed, durability).
Unless she was nerfed from her classic days, she takes this easily.

Same thing with Selene though Prep. She's doesn't need blood, she drains life essences. I think she doesn't even need to touch your skin, she can do it through clothing or armor too (need confirmation on that).
This is on top of her superhuman physical stats, her more than competent mage skills, her pyrokinesis, and her telekinesis.
She was fighting off the X-men WHILE engaging Prof X telepathically. Sure he wound up beating her but he's the most powerful psi on the planet.

She can merely think him being crushed by a gigantic stone fist (like she did vs Sebastian Shaw) and he's as good as dead or at least crippled severely. (please log in to view the image)
All this assumes she doesn't use her "teleport" mind trick to sneak up behind him and drain his life force.

He would have to speak it no? My money is on thought being faster than sound or in this case, Selene crushing him to death before he's able to say "POTS".

No. That's a backwards spell, Andrew is a top tier MAGE that doesn't need to speak anything.
Also, this is probably a bad fight for Selene, because Andrew has Cain inside of him (Or it seems) and Cain can suck magical energy like a sponge. Like when he was absorbing all the magical energy from Justice League Dark.
But that's the thing. She doesn't rely on or even need her magic (even though she's an accomplished mage). Her telepathy (and psi bolts), her pyrokinesis, her superhuman physical stats, her hypnosis/superspeed teleport trick, and her telekinesis are not magical in nature.
Plus there's the whole "draining life force" stuff she does.

I know, but that's not going to stop Andrew from stopping her. Hell, most of those powers, Andrew already has, including reality warping. Selene might put up a fight, but she's not winning.
Yeah, Goddess Selene basically grew big and turned blue before she was killed. I would've preferred if she ascended earlier in the story. Not just for feats either. A longer reign might've been more satisfying to read.
