I'm sure you all know the premise already.
Brilliant directing, acting, cinemotography, but that's about it.
The story lacks the passion that could have made this a great movie.
I really didn't care for any of the characters, they were not developed enough.
I was really disappointed.
Its a good movie, but I was expecting a great one.
Easily forgotten.
It was interesting however to see how Manhattan looked like back inthe 1800s.

Well, I thought this movie was a bloody pointless piece of shit...
I agree that the acting and cinematography was great..but it was a stupid 19th Century meets Mad Max idea. Just because they put Tammany Hall and the Riots in it doesn't mean that's how NY really was in 1846.
It seemed like the main point of the movie was to show alot of stabbing and blood...and boobs when people might be getting stick of the blood.
