Introduction

Marvel comic’s Canadian villain started his career in the pages of Alpha Flight and has had countless other appearances since his introduction. Eshu gained his abilities 40,000 years ago when he was cast out of his tribe and stumbled upon an alien ship, which immediately captured him performing horrific experiments on Eshu for thousands of years. He eventually gained control of the ship and created a new body for himself, and proclaimed himself the Master of the World.

Bad choice, he puts them into a coma when they try to escape scott free. Master even makes a comment about how he field-tested the Controller against Photon.

Out of everyone in the marvel universe, the Master properly has experienced the most pain out of everyone. Here he outlines the tortures he underwent for 40,000 years as well as the pain his new body was undergoing transforming.
His bones were ground to paste—one bone at a time, one millimeter at a time over the course of months. His blood was intermingled with a variety of liquids to see the effects it would have on his circulatory system, such as tar. His eyelids were turned inside out, his eyes popped out of his sockets like escargots. His tongue was subjected to taste impressions across the analytical spectrum. His skin was pulled off and stretched out, sewn back on, cauterized, liquefied and forced to bear the sensation of needles pricking at its surface, fire at its core. All but his brain was not studied and became incorporated being absorbed into the greater functions of the ship, becoming at first a tiny extension of the computer matrix. However, his will was strong, his sense of self indomitable, it took 30,000 but he purged himself of madness and took control of the ship. His brain came to control the unliving machines around it, and were able to command them to reconstruct his mortal form, but a perfect form this time.

Heroes for Hire #12 (Vol.2):
After almost succeeding in his plans, Luke Cage finally betrays the Master and attacks him from behind. Once again Cage can’t do anything because of his force field so he uses some power cables to shock the Master, but doing so shocks himself eventually ending the fight. Just to show how tough the Master is, Cage would have died if Iron Fist didn’t give him energy while the Master didn’t have anything but he survived.

Here the Avengers infiltrate the Master’s base in attempt to steal his technology as it is the only thing that can stop Kang. Anyways, Master and Ms.Marvel have a brief scuffle and he is getting the better off her, but then she turns serious and apparently kills him (which is unlikely). Not to sure why his force field didn’t kick in, but you can chalk it up it was for the story to be a certain way
