I was thinking something in that same ballpark.

He's just trying to save key strokes.

He should just learn how to type fast, like I did, and his posts will increase in quality while also saving time.

I used to type at 25-30 WPM. Then, I was like, this is stupid. So I stopped looking at the keyboard and now I'm fairly regular at 60-70 WPM. I hit 90 wpm on a game. Full text, punctuation, etc. But that's my high end. Most others say they can hit 90 WPM, too.

So, basically, to get better and not look so dumb, type faster and more accurately. (This isn't to say you won't make typos. You'll make plenty. I make enough for 3 people.)
