If your trrying to say if its that easy, firestorm could beat a GL by doing that.....well rings may be resistant to transmutation but i see no reason they should be immune to teleportation (after all, there designed to move)
Obviously, the rings should be immune to attacks like being teleported and transmuted. At least from characters that are around the same power-level as the wielder.
Wouldn't that be like saying you couldn't cut a gls hand off to get his ring off because the ring would prevent it...
The rings aren't sentient... They do what you want them to.. If the gl errected some kind of shield that interfered with teleportation I could imagine that but the rings doing that inherently would be like a sentient ring...
