That suit was segmented so can be torn apart. Just like Logan actually did after the SS got an adamantium claw to the brain. If Logan can tear pieces of the armour off with his bare hands, Shredder most definitely can. He's also faster and a hell of a lot more impressive, skill-wise, than the SS was. Shredder wins this.

Oh well, have to admit I don't quite recall how the final fight in The Wolverine went down. If Wolverine truly was tearing off SS's armor with his hands then Shredder should have no trouble.
Yeah, SS had Logan on the ropes and then revealed his identity. Mariko sneaks up on him and stabs him with one of Logan's severed claws in the head, and then follows it up with a giant syringe or something to the neck. Logan then tears the chest piece open so that he can stab SS with his newly regrown bone claws, and toss him out of a huge hole in the wall they made earlier in the fight.

The samurai's armor was already kinda broken with the adamantiom sword. I don't think shredder will have it has easy with the suit compromised. Also he has an adamantion lightasaber thingy...
