he was stronger and faster than the average man, his sword also would probably be able to stand up against adamantium, what makes you think wolverine takes it?

perseus isn't using the horse to fly around in circles, since there's a fight going on he's obviously trying to attack, and as seen in the movie he can and has used pegasus offensively, for dive bombs and maneuvering, this makes it even seeing as while their strength/speed/skill may be equal (debatable) wolverine healing/durability give him the advantage straight up, pegasus equals that out by giving perseus a maneuverability advantage as well as giving wolverine another opponent to take out.
perseus is of course on pegasus, if wolverine moves to attack pegasus, he is left open to an attack from perseus, his sword would do some serious damage on wolverine, especially since it was shown to have magical effects when it lands a hit.
Doesn't matter, Wolverine healed from having his tissue disintegrated down to his skeletal structure. If he can heal from that, a slash from Perseus won't slow him down long. So with Pegasus dead, it'll be Perseus against Wolverine, and Perseus will die.
zeus's sword also arguably slows healing abilities, the king hades cursed was healing what would be fatal wounds, but once he couldn't heal from zeus's strike
And in X3 he tanked having his skin, nerves, and muscle tissue painfully disintegrated, that trumps being stabbed. And we know that the sword effected a magical healing ability, chances are it won't work on a mutation, since it wasn't shown working on a mutant healing factor.
it's not like it all happened at once, and magic essentially mutated the king, the king himself didn't have magical powers (except for his blood).
what exactly was the difference between his feat in X3 and being stabbed? all he was doing was healing tears to the bone, essentially being stabbed/shot tears down to the bone as well. In fact he appeared to take this easier than the stabs of lady death strike and mystique. as for wolverine just decapitating him, easier said that done, he had trouble doing the to sabretooth who he wanted to decapitate, and Perseus is just and strong and fast, possible more skilled in combat.
of course i can see wolverine winning this fight too, not as easy as people make it out though.
